Release: Michael Calfan – Mercy

Michael Calfan

France’s Michael Calfan has an extremely impressive set of releases behind him including “Treasured Soul” and “Prelude”. His latest soulful and uplifting house tune titled “Mercy” had us shouting just that. With a distinct groove and some harmonica just to get your feet tapping, it’s a song we won’t easily forget. Peep it below!

Release: Eptic – Immortal EP

Landing today as another release from the dubstep powerhouse platform Never Say Die is the latest EP from Eptic. Having been snapped up by the label several years back, the Belgian’s productions have never faltered and he is one of the biggest names in the scene at the moment.

“Immortal” is four tracks packed with diversity and brilliance. Kicking things off with the sample-filled “Spellbound”, we are then treated to “Ectoplasm”, a superbly produced collaboration with MUST DIE! After the filthier ride that is “Jurassic”, Trampa concludes the EP with a thrilling rework of “Space Cats.”

Be sure to grab this collection here.

The Chainsmokers woo us with latest single “Roses”

As long time supporters of The Chainsmokers we’re super pumped to see and hear productions that they’re really happy with and are representative of themselves. Featuring Rozes on vocals and even a little bit from Drew if you can pick it up in the song. This relaxed tune has us tapping along to the beat, we may have to update this post once we’ve tried this song out in the car cruising with the windows down.

Release: Mt. Eden – Stronger

Out today, as released through Ultra Music, is the new single from Mt. Eden. If you’re a fan of bass music in any form, you will have remembered when the pair dropped their seminal single “Sierra Leone” a few years back – but their sound has consistently progressed since then.

“Stronger”, this week’s offering, is without doubt one of their most impressive tracks to date, and it really shows how advanced their production is. A warm blend of strings and vocals set the tone, before the tune breaks out into rougher and choppier edits.

Free Download: Backstreet Boys – Everybody (Oski, Apashe & Lennon Bootleg)

Every year a track comes out of nowhere and shows the scene that there are always new directions to head in. Well this time it comes from a trio of producers you may not have heard of called Oski, Apashe and Lennon. They have taken it upon themselves to bring the Backstreet Boys back to life and re-imagine their track ‘Everybody’.

Who could forget such a great track, back in the days before smart phones, tablets and 3D printing, when Britney Spears was a rising star and Justin Timberlake was still going through puberty. It was this time when the Backstreet Boys were killing the school discos with this beat which is now enjoying a new life as a dancefloor-destroyer, spanning multiple genres from house to hip hop and trap to glitch-hop.

And the best bit of all, it’s a free download. Get your ears round this and step into a bass-filled time machine here.

Free Download: Carmada – Maybe (PhaseOne Remix)

Released today as a free download is a brand new remix of the Carmada single “Maybe.” The remixer is none other than Aussie bass producer PhaseOne, who has previously released material on Firepower and Buygore.

His work on this rework is flawless, and he takes this awesome single to new levels with a zingy drum and bass edit. Opening gently with subtle chords, PhaseOne injects some power with explosive drum patterns and a dynamic yet clean bass line.

We love this remix – if you do too, grab the free download below from SC!

Release: Nause – The World I Know (Jerome Price Remix)

Out now as another quality offering from Universal Sweden is the Jerome Price remix of Nause – “The World I Know.” For those who are currently unfamiliar with the name, Price is a UK hailing house producer whose remix work for the likes of Major Lazer and Avicii has seen great acclaim.

His work on “The World I Know” is full of class and superb production. Laying down a zingy bass line that grows in strength and groove whilst those infectious vocals continue to lead the way, the result is a slick combination of driving melody and club floor power.

Look out for this one as it catches on this summer – we can’t get enough. You can grab it here.
