Release: Glover – Faces (Zac Waters Remix)

zac-watersThe Melbourne Bounce movement has moved into a new zone of mind-boggling sounds called Meltrance. Leading the charge is Zac Water straight from the Lucky Ent. fam. If we were to name one of the most promising names of 2015, Zac Waters would be the very top. His new remix of “Faces” combines big-room build aesthetics, with Melbourne Bounce stylings and it’s all encompassed by that nasty trance progression.

Release: 3LAU & Nom De Strip ft. Estelle – The Night

artworks-000101759142-ec0jfs-t500x500It only seems fitting that the mashup hero 3LAU has been given the chance to cover and remix the massive “Rhythm Of the Night”. Enlisting the help of Nom De Strip, the two put a serious womping on the drop that has Beatport number one written all over it. That in no way is a negative connotation. The grinding big-room and electro tune is a firestorm of energy broken up by Esetelle’s legendary cover and a more than big-room build.

Free Download: Zhu – Faded (Zac Waters & Tommie Sunshine Remix)

faded1I hope you’re not over “Faded” by Zhu yet because Zac Waters and Tommie Sunshine have finally released their remix. A few months ago Tommie went down to tour Australia and had the chance to sit dow with Zac in the studio. Pure Melbourne goodness on this one.

Nom De Strip & 3LAU turn “Rhythm of the Night” into a big-room behemoth

artworks-000101759142-ec0jfs-t500x500Leave it to 3LAU to get his hands on the legendary “Rhythm of the Night” by Estelle. And, in our humble opinion, anything Nom De Strip touches turns into complete gold. Even though we don’t post nearly enough big-room any more, this one has Beatport number one written all over. I think it might be safe to say Justin is responsible for the anthemic build up around the vocal and Nom De Strip just shut shit down on the drop.

Don Diablo pulls at heartstrings with remix of Marlon Roudette’s “When The Beat Drops Out”

don-diablo2014 is coming to a close and Don Diablo still has some more surprises up his sleeve leading into 2015. He’s remixed the like’s Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, Jessie J & more in 2014. Somehow Don’s gotten hold of the massive “When The Beat Drops Out” by Marlon Roudette and infused his unique rave sound into the tearjerker. The preview is only 30 seconds, but so worth it.

Will Sparks delivers highly anticpated Another Land album on Ultra

Will Sparks @ Maison MercerLucky Ent. star and Melbourne Bounce aficionado has finally released his highly awaited nine track album “Another Land” on Ultra. We still remember hearing “Next To You” during Will’s debut in Toronto back in August of 2013. One of the tracks where I really took notice of his sound and the stuff that Australia was pumping out to the globe. So, it’s a huge relief to finally have the track with Angel Taylor in my iTunes. Stand-out tracks from the album would have to be “Another Land’ featuring himself on vocals and the massive “Myriad” with Samual James. “Brain Washer” does an amazing job fusing Will’s big-room take on Bounce with a more old-school and minimal style drop. The Aussie superstar is off destroying Stereosonic in his motherland all month!

1. Bourne – Will Sparks
2. Another Land – Will Sparks
3. Kerfu – Will Sparks
4. Brain Washer – Will Sparks & Danny David
5. Myriad – Will Sparks & Samual James
6. Next To You (feat. Angel Taylor) – Will Sparks
7. Here We Go – Will Sparks
8. Psycho – Will Sparks
9. Ah Yeah So What (feat. Wiley & Elen Levon) – Will Spark

Chuck Inglish & Chromeo’s “Legs” get’s remixed by AC Slater, Yolanda Be Cool & More

Chuck Inglish AC Slater Yolanda Be Cool

Chuck Inglish and Chromeo’s tune “Legs” might have just gotten the most diverse remix EP of 2014. Penguin Prison’s remix is a very Chromeo-esque electro tune, Yolanda Be Cool deliver techy grooves that’ll destroy the late night dancefloor, Bee’s Knees gets straight up nu disco with their take on the track, and bringing it home is AC Slater’s heavy Nightbass remix. All 4 remixes have their own unique take on the original and are a great addition to any collection.

Release: Boza ft. Sakine – The Limits (Ricardo Rise Remix)

ricardo-riseNothing like a little acid and punchy kick drum to get the juices flowing. Toronto producer Ricardo Rise has got his first official release on Modified Records by remixing “The Limits” by Boza. The original features a very housey’ vocal from Sakine that bodes well for the Ricardo’s high-energy remix. I really love the build on this one as he layers and loops into an acid house drop. High-hats push the track through alongside a minimal first drop as that acid creeps right in. Another name to keep an eye on in the flourishing dance scene of Toronto.

Release: Charlie Darker – HMF (Original Mix)

charlie-darker1Leave it to Charlie Darker to always come correct with an original piece of electronic nastiness.

“Loaded with a unique new sound and a fresh take on dance music. Combining elements of techno, electro, trap, and more with cutting edge sound design, the young Canadian producer has turned out a two-track EP that expertly manages to push the boundaries of electro house.” – Kannibalien Record

We’re reaching a time where the popular big-room sounds are waning and people are looking for something a little more. A little more challenging, a little more complex, a little more forward thinking. The big festival sized stages aren’t going anywhere anytime soon and we’re going to need awesome music to fill them. Charlie may be supplying a heavy dose of that.
