Release: Vigiland – Shots & Squats

Putting some real personality into their work this week is Swedish house act Vigiland, who drop the mighty party anthem ‘Shots & Squats’ through Universal Sweden today. With a title as bold as that, the tune naturally lives up to its name, ensuring that even the shyest floor fillers will be shaking it out after hearing this.

Using a riotous vocal riff to kick proceedings off, Vigiland support this melody with a pulsating beat and clever guitar layering. Wholly satisfying and guaranteed to put a smile on your face, this duo has taken Melbourne House and given their own very unique twist on it.

If you want to add this to your summer soundtrack, you can do so here.

Free DL: Zeds Dead & Dirtyphonics – Where Are You Now (Hunter Siegel Remix)

hunter_siegel_londonAight, Hunter Siegel has been dropping this bomb in his sets for months and premiered it in his first No Neon recap. I donno, it’s tight so you should probably listen. #darkPLUR ;(

Free Download: Mapei – Change (Brynny & Vigiland Remix)

brynnyBrynny has been holding onto this weapon for a hot second. He’s teamed up with Vigiland to remix the crowd favourite “Change” by Mapei. After some label issues they’ve finally released the Melbourne Bounce remix for free download. In traditional Brynny style, the sound design is so on point. What I find so interesting about the track is Vigiland’s native land. They’re based out of Sweden and make Bounce. That shit just doesn’t computed. Anyhoo, it’s a minimal, doesn’t take the chopped vocals in a cheesy direction and rocks so hard.

Free Download: Above & Beyond – Sun & Moon (Brynny Remix)

brynnyBryn Parkinson is back with another mental Melbourne Bounce offering. The young producer out of Melbourne has taken the behemoth “Sun & Moon” by Above & Beyond and turned it into a bounce beast. As usual he infuses his complextroesque’ drop into the equation for sound design that really tests sound systems.

Free Download: Robin Schulz – Sun Goes Down (Tyron Hapi Bootleg)

tyron-hapiAnother wonderkid out of Australia keeping the bounce alive is Tyron Hapi. The 16 year old producer has been turning heads with his energetic take on the Melbourne sound. His latest free track is his take on the instant classic by Robin Schulz, “Sun Goes Down”.

Free Download: Riff Raff – Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz (Jauz Remix)

jauzJauz might be the biggest breathe of fresh air to blow up in the last year. The LA producer is known for breaking genre boundaries and producing whatever he wants. Most notably, he’s seen massive success with his bass house tracks. With a recent signing to Mad Decent it was only a matter of time before we saw him get on a Riff Raff record. Anyhoo, peep his cray remix of “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz”. Hopefully we can see these two collab in the future.

Free Download: Dizzy Wright – Solo Dolo (Azmac Bootleg)

azmacStumbled on Azmac courtesy of fellow Melbournian Brynny. The duo out of Australia are another Melbourne Bounce are adding a new level of originality to the rinsed sound. They’ve gone the Joel Feltcher route and resurrected a hip-hop animal by Dizzy Wright called “Solo Dolo.” Gives me those proper minimal and Melbourne vibes :3

Release: Michael Calfan – Treasured Soul (Chocolate Puma Remix)

Main_avatar_CHOCOLATE_PUMAJust under two-weeks until Chocolate Puma rips The Hoxton a new one for the next instalment of Hunter Siegel’s No Neon party. Can almost gaurantee their brand new remix of “Treasured Soul” by Michael Calfan will be the biggest record of the night. A massive original in its own right and then Chocolate Puma completely flip it. Subtle percussion inches in over the original build and then all hell breaks loose on the drop. Proper rave madness.

Release: JDG & Samual James – Mumbai (Original Mix)

10462718_794249857295376_825376601290089285_nIt’s sweet when two artists hook up on a track and you can hear each of their distinct sounds. “Mumbai” on onelove is most certainly one of those tracks with JDG and Samual James out of Australia. While the track will no doubt draw comparisons to “No Quarters” by Zac Waters because of the vocal sample, it still stands out on its own. From JDG’s powerful builds and no holds bar drop, combined with Samual James knack for making the biggest melodies and breaks. Only a few months until festival season and I have feeling we’re going to be hearing a lot more of this style in the coming year.
