Will Sparks delivers highly anticpated Another Land album on Ultra

Will Sparks @ Maison MercerLucky Ent. star and Melbourne Bounce aficionado has finally released his highly awaited nine track album “Another Land” on Ultra. We still remember hearing “Next To You” during Will’s debut in Toronto back in August of 2013. One of the tracks where I really took notice of his sound and the stuff that Australia was pumping out to the globe. So, it’s a huge relief to finally have the track with Angel Taylor in my iTunes. Stand-out tracks from the album would have to be “Another Land’ featuring himself on vocals and the massive “Myriad” with Samual James. “Brain Washer” does an amazing job fusing Will’s big-room take on Bounce with a more old-school and minimal style drop. The Aussie superstar is off destroying Stereosonic in his motherland all month!

Tracklist:
1. Bourne – Will Sparks
2. Another Land – Will Sparks
3. Kerfu – Will Sparks
4. Brain Washer – Will Sparks & Danny David
5. Myriad – Will Sparks & Samual James
6. Next To You (feat. Angel Taylor) – Will Sparks
7. Here We Go – Will Sparks
8. Psycho – Will Sparks
9. Ah Yeah So What (feat. Wiley & Elen Levon) – Will Spark

Chuck Inglish & Chromeo’s “Legs” get’s remixed by AC Slater, Yolanda Be Cool & More

Chuck Inglish AC Slater Yolanda Be Cool

Chuck Inglish and Chromeo’s tune “Legs” might have just gotten the most diverse remix EP of 2014. Penguin Prison’s remix is a very Chromeo-esque electro tune, Yolanda Be Cool deliver techy grooves that’ll destroy the late night dancefloor, Bee’s Knees gets straight up nu disco with their take on the track, and bringing it home is AC Slater’s heavy Nightbass remix. All 4 remixes have their own unique take on the original and are a great addition to any collection.

Release: Boza ft. Sakine – The Limits (Ricardo Rise Remix)

ricardo-riseNothing like a little acid and punchy kick drum to get the juices flowing. Toronto producer Ricardo Rise has got his first official release on Modified Records by remixing “The Limits” by Boza. The original features a very housey’ vocal from Sakine that bodes well for the Ricardo’s high-energy remix. I really love the build on this one as he layers and loops into an acid house drop. High-hats push the track through alongside a minimal first drop as that acid creeps right in. Another name to keep an eye on in the flourishing dance scene of Toronto.

Release: Charlie Darker – HMF (Original Mix)

charlie-darker1Leave it to Charlie Darker to always come correct with an original piece of electronic nastiness.

“Loaded with a unique new sound and a fresh take on dance music. Combining elements of techno, electro, trap, and more with cutting edge sound design, the young Canadian producer has turned out a two-track EP that expertly manages to push the boundaries of electro house.” – Kannibalien Record

We’re reaching a time where the popular big-room sounds are waning and people are looking for something a little more. A little more challenging, a little more complex, a little more forward thinking. The big festival sized stages aren’t going anywhere anytime soon and we’re going to need awesome music to fill them. Charlie may be supplying a heavy dose of that.

Release: Roul and Doors – Down To This (Original Mix)

10432790Quite possibly one of the dirtiest tracks we’ve heard in the last few months. We’ve been huge fans of Roul and Doors for awhile and still haven’t seen them live. They bring a new level of energy to the table with their unique take on club heavy big-room. Like a lot of our favourite producer these guys may not produce the most technical tracks, but have found a sound that really resonates to the dance floor. Like they say, less is more. “Down to This” has been tearing their sets apart for a long time and utilizes their signature grinding sounds to add anew level of energy that isn’t kick-drum driven. Top notch track, so be sure to grab it on Flamingo.

Release: Will Sparks – Bourne (Original Mix)

will-sparksFor those of you who crave the off-beat, Aussie sensation Will Sparks has returned with a brand new release, titled “Bourne”. Released on Ultra Records, the track screams of Will’s love for anthemic Melbourne beasts and contains his unique claps. Our favorite part is definitely the drop, as he avoids typical builds and hits us straight with a bassline out of nowhere. A huge track to tides us over until “Another Land” which features his own vocals hits the shelves.

Free Download: Matt Zanardo – BOMBSHELL (Original Mix)

matt-zanardoToronto producer Matt Zanardo has been rewarding his fans over the last couple weeks with a shit ton of free downloads. “Bombshell” has been up on Soundcloud for the better part of a year and several big name DJs have been destroying sets with it. Most notable, Henry Fong has been pulling it out as a secret weapon. Zanardo does an amazing job at trickling that fine line between merging peak time sounds with his unique sound. “BOMBSHELL” comes off as a massive big-room track and feeds off his love for bounce, but what we really love about the track is the little details and sound snippets that really add another dimension. Grab the track for free an don’t sleep on Matt.

Release: Joe Garston – Prelude in JG

joe-garstonBritish producer Joe Garston continues to wow with every release. His most recent track “Prelude in JG” again confirms why he was one of our favourite artists. Whispering vocal chops, catchy guitar chords and some wonderfully bouncy electro stylings complete the track.
