Free Download: Paolo Nutini – Let Me Down Easy (Ryan Shepherd Bootleg)

ry-shepA few weeks ago we spotlighted Toronto producer Ryan Shepherd and his rise to DJ supremacy in Toronto. When he’s not telling the crowd “to put their f%$^in’ hands up” and making piano fingers, he can be found laying down some of the juiciest basslines. He’s been hyping this one up to us for awhile and we were super excited to hear the final product. Let me just say, it’s far better than anything I expected, but also everything I expected. The most impressive aspect of the track is the groove, but that’s not surprising considering Shep’s has the ear of a “real” DJ. Pairing his groove infused bassline with the soulful vocal seems to be the perfect formula for a fire ass house track.

Release: Vicetone ft. JHart – Follow Me (Shaun Frank Remix)

shaun_frankFresh off the huge success of “Shades Of Grey” with Oliver Heldens and Delaney Jane, Shaun Frank returns with a remix of the Ultra 2015 anthem “Follow Me”. A big ol’ housey remix which features what sounds like Shaun’s sound that’s beginning to take over the dance music world. It’s got a little house, it’s got a little off kilter bass and it’s even got a tinge of deep. “I took a different approach on this one and actually didnt listen to the original track before i started working on it, i just opened the stems Vicetone sent me and started from scratch with the sounds & vocal to try and give my freshest perspective on the track” – Shaun Frank

Free Download: DeModa – Clear Conscience

ClearConscienceArtOut today as a free download comes “Clear Conscience”, the divine new single to come from DeModa. With an album on the way to be titled “Polar South”, the producer and DJ showcases his innate skill for melody delivery here.

“Clear Conscience” opens with almost sparkling qualities, leaving enough space in the initial tune to develop and become more layered throughout. The result is a blissed out sound, and one that has moments of groove coupled with velvety smooth chord progressions.

Release: Karetus – Pinata LP

PinataArtKaretus today continue their stellar hold of the bass scene, with their highly anticipated new album “Pinata” finally makes its way into the atmosphere. It’s been quite a while in the making, but there is no doubt it’s been worth the wait.

Spanning a massive eighteen tracks from start to finish, the diverse range of styles Karetus move in and out of here is quite outstanding. Moving fluidly through moments of hip hop, electro, dubstep  and house, the trio keep their emphasis firmly on their “Full Flavor” approach to music production. Expect incredible power and energy throughout – most notably in the likes of the title track, “Move It Up” ft. Supasquad and “We Are One.”

Be sure to nab a copy of “Pinata” here.

Soultech, an unknown artist, has just dropped this magnificent deep house record. “Collide” encompasses a breathtaing vocal and guitar laden deep house beats, but also has a slight tinge of underground. Spinnin refers to it as, “In short, this is what it would sound like if Robin Schulz went on holiday with Gorgon City.”

Must Listen: Swedish House Mafia return with BBC Radio1 Essential Mix

Swedish_house_mafia_2Here’s a little present from Swedish House Mafia. It’s been two years since they called it quits as a trio and we’re still hurting. They transcended boundaries, and put dance music on a global scale with megatours and massive hits. Anyhoo, we doubt we’ll ever see a reunion tour, but a few days ago they released a BBC Radio1 Essential Mix live Amnesia in 2011. Pure bliss.
